I've always been, perhaps a bit irrationally, afraid of snakes. I just don't like them. I don't like how they can quietly sneak up on you, attack, and then just as quietly, slither away. I've had a few run-ins with snakes, so perhaps that's why my fear of them has been perpetuated. (In case you're wondering, nothing bad happened to me when I encountered snakes, I just freaked out more than any human should. Screaming like a mad person and running away faster than a Nigerian in a race.) So yea, a thing I hate: snakes, culebras, hebi, serpenti.
30 Day Song Challenge - Day 11: A song from your favorite band
My favorite band? Easy, that would be Muse. And before you ask, I didn't discover them because of Twilight! This song (Time is running out) was actually the first I ever heard from them. I actually remember the day perfectly: June 15, 2005. I was back in Honduras for the summer after having spent my first year at university (back then I was still enrolled at Tulane in New Orleans.) When I returned to the States for the fall semester, I actually traveled through Miami, where I spent a few days shopping and where I also bought Muse's CD at the Virgin Megastore in Sunset. After listening to the entire length of the album, I fell even more in love with them. Anyways, long story short, I simply adore Muse. What nerd wouldn't love a band whose style has been described as "space rock"?
And I know that this isn't part of the challenge, but I decided to add something extra today. Listen to a mash-up of Muse's "Time is running out" and Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," two of my all-time favorites (EARGASM!)
